FlashSync — Support

Quick Start

1. Install the Windows desktop app (installer or portable) from the download page.
2. Open the app to see your PC’s IP and endpoint.
3. On iPhone: open FlashSync → Settings → Windows Connection → enter your PC’s IP + port 4410 → tap Test connection.
4. Pick photos and back up securely over Wi‑Fi.

Troubleshooting

• Connection failed: Use your PC’s LAN IP (e.g., 192.168.x.x), not 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1. Ensure phone and PC are on the same Wi‑Fi.
• Firewall: Allow inbound TCP on port 4410 for the desktop app.
• Permissions: On iOS, allow Photos access; for optional cleanup, also allow Photo Library add/change permission.
• Slow transfers: Prefer 5 GHz Wi‑Fi and keep devices close to the router.

FAQ

Do you use the cloud? No. Backups are local between your iPhone and your PC.

Are transfers encrypted? Yes. End‑to‑end AES‑256‑GCM in transit and at rest.

Where are files stored on Windows? In the app’s vault_artifacts folder with encrypted payload and a manifest per file.
